TechIsland

TechIsland is a joint initiative launched by eight coastal communities on Vancouver Island to encourage technology sector investment in the region. Working alongside a team of designers and brand strategists, the TechIsland brand was created to establish a sense of unity amongst the different communities in the area. The name TechIsland represents the initiative’s ultimate goal in a very tangible way, to transform Vancouver Island into a globally recognized tech hub. I also helped develop a social media strategy and website copy for the initiative, along with a range of organic content to increase website traffic and brand awareness.

Locations for TRAK’s tours include Norway, Greenland and Mexico, among others. Vancouver Island is the site for its Pacific Rim Skills Camp, intended for veterans of the sport. All of these not only work towards building TRAK’s brand by real-life demonstrations of its products, but also in solidifying TRAK’s position as an industry expert in the kayaking community.

This is a public document that reports on the findings of the BC Stats Active Transportation Strategy General Population Survey (2019). It provides comprehensive information on the state of active transportation in British Columbia, including demographics, regional differences, and expectations around the future of active transportation. Designed for consumption by the general public, this document avoids jargon and overly technical terms where possible, with infographics and illustrations inserted throughout for data visualization.

The Robson Valley Region Economic Development Marketing Program was established to promote investment opportunities and stimulate long-term economic growth in the Robson Valley Region. A range of investment attraction and marketing materials were produced in this project, including a messaging strategy that establishes the communications guidelines for all program resources moving forward.

Working as the content and copywriter of Invero’s Fractional CMO services team, I was responsible for all writing-related tasks for the company’s marketing efforts between Q1-Q3/2021.
The aim of this project started off as rebuilding awareness of the company after its rebrand (formerly BlueSilverShift) and establishing a corporate image that is more premium and service-focused to reflect the new brand. This gradually shifted towards exploring new markets and acquiring sales leads over the course of the project, with a range of marketing mediums utilized.
